Mary Rowe who suffered from infectioushepatitis was admitted to the hospital immediately when Dr. Andrew Jordanconfirmed her disease. According to Andrew, she would recover soon withadequate fluid given intravenously. But instead of improving, Mary’s diseasedeteriorated, with the ammonia in the blood increasing to a dangerous level.When Andrew was frustrated, a detail woman from a pharmaceutical company namedCelia de Gray came to his office, promoting new drugs. Out of the intense worryabout Mary and his prejudice against drug companies, Andrew turned down Celiarudely. Shortly, Mary went into a deep coma. At the critical moment, Celiamanaged to persuade Andrew to try the miraculous new drug she brought with.After Mary came to be conscious and showed every sign of recovery, Andrew andCelia developed mutual love toward each other and they got married one monthlater.
