穴義

膻，袒露；中，中間。
胸部袒露出的中間部位古稱膻中，穴當其處。

Meaning

Shan, exposure; zhong, middle.
The point is located at the exposed middle part of the chest, called Shanzhong in ancient times.

定位

前正中線，平第四肋間隙處。

Location

on the midline of the sternum, level with the 4th intercostal space.

主治

1. 寬胸理氣，治胸悶，胸痛，氣喘咳嗽，常與內關合用。
2．乳疾要穴，如乳腺炎初起，產后奶少等。

Indication

1. chest stuffness, chest pain, asthma, cough, often used with Neiguan.
2. main point for diseases of the nipples: the beginning of the mammitis, lactation deficiency.

針法

1. 一般針尖向下平刺0.5-0.8寸。
2．治乳腺炎時，針尖可向病側乳房方向平刺。

Method

1. puncture downwards horizontally 0.5-0.8 cun.
2. in treating mammitis puncture in the direction of the diseased nipple.

備考

心包之募穴、氣會。
